Another of my suspected Ulster Scots ancestors is Charles Clendenin. On page 282 of
I find the following: "The surnames of the members of the Upper Octorara CHurch were: Alison, Bullock, Boggs, Boyd, Blyle,. Clinton, Cochran, Cowan, Dickey, Filson, Fleming, Gardner, Glendening, Hamill, Henderson, Heslep, Hope, Kerr, Kyle, Liggett, Lockhart, Luckey, McAllister, McNeil, McPherson, Mitchell, Moody, Park, Richmond, Robb, Rowan, Sandford, Scott, Sharpe, Sloan, Smith, Stewart, Summeril, Wiley, Wilkin and Wilson. The footnote gives credit to Futhey's Upper Octorara Church on page 151.
Could this be my Clendenin? Could Luckey be Lackey? Was Alexander Lackey's wife's maiden name Chochran?
